Nashville's new mega-project, the Music City Center, will soon open as the state's most expensive publicly funded building project in history. It will serve as the city's 1.2 million square foot convention center in the Sobro (South of Broadway) neighborhood. Located adjacent to The Country Music Hall of Fame and Bridgestone Arena, The Music City Center is expected to bring hundreds of thousands of new visitors to Nashville each year. The 14 acre building features roof lines intended to reflect Tennessee's rolling hills and a 162-foot guitar-shaped structure that weaves vertically through the building. Watch as this time-elapsed construction footage shrinks 4 years of construction into two minutes.
